I am believed to be the only clinical nurse in
the UK with a wheelchair and an assistance dog (as seen on ITV This Morning).
Sadly, I am part of the 3% of Nurses with a disability. This figure is
unbelievably low, and I hope, by being in magazines, on the TV and radio, and
doing guest speaking and podcasts, I can start to break down these barriers
faced by people with disabilities currently working/hoping to work in the
healthcare sector. I would love to see more disabled people in health and
social care.
