Title:Strengthening Patient Engagement: A Multidisciplinary Training course for Healthcare Professionals
Biography: I am Dr. Mai Nabil Hassan a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality with over 15 years of experience driving patient safety, performance improvement and regulatory compliance. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, a Master's Degree in International Business, and a Professional Diploma in Total Quality Management of Healthcare Organizations. My career began in 2003 as a medical representative in GSK, and hereafter I was always recognized as the Best Achiever of the year. In 2006, I made my transition into entrepreneurship, founding a pioneering medical centre in the emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It was the first in the UAE to integrate both conventional medicine and complementary medicine under one roof, setting a new standard for holistic care. Notably it became the first JCI accredited ambulatory care centre in the Middle east to achieve healthcare quality standards in both practices. I have worked within healthcare systems to implement quality improvement initiatives, streamline clinical workflows, and lead accreditation readiness efforts. I am passionate about healthcare quality, using evidence- based practices to enhance care outcomes and patient experience. I share my expertise by training healthcare professionals, healthcare administrative executives in healthcare management and quality standards, helping them to improve practices across the region and I’m always focused on fostering a culture of continuous improvement. My goal is to make healthcare safer, more efficient and truly patient-centered.
