Yvette Meyer is a seasoned perioperative nursing leader with over 30 years of experience spanning the Operating Theatre, Obstetric OR, Endoscopy, and CSSD.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Operating Room Science, a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Management, underscoring her dedication to academic and professional excellence.

Throughout her career, Yvette has spearheaded multiple quality improvement and operational excellence projects, including initiatives focused on First Case On-Time Starts (FCOTS), surgical site infection (SSI) reduction, instrument traceability, and cost optimization. She successfully led a nurse-driven cost-reduction project that streamlined consumable usage, standardization, optimized stock management, and enhanced resource efficiency without compromising patient safety or surgical outcomes.

Yvette has developed robust policies, training programs, and unit-based improvement strategies that have strengthened compliance with JCIA, DOH, and international perioperative standards.

Her leadership philosophy is grounded in the Multiplier Leadership model—empowering nurses to think critically, act independently, and lead collaboratively.
She established her own Succession Planning Focus Group to mentor and prepare the next generation of nurse leaders, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and innovation.
